The great Liquid Eye Liner Adventure

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at <span class=Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at <span class=

MAC liquidlast liner review

After one of the girls requested a vid on Liquid liner I decided to try out the Mac Liquidlast in Point Black
. I am not a liquid liner user, and its for the simple reason that I'm a klutz and i'll probably end up with more on my cheeks and nose than on my eyes. LOL... So I decided since I know that liquid is great with faux lashes I'm gonna give this a whirl. Oh.. sad face across the board. The actual application process is very exciting.. Its like painting on your face, the smooth felt tip applied the liquid with ease. But here comes the complaints.. The line was very thin and you had to build color, as I was applying more it would literally drip but very little, but its there, a slow force of gravity pulling the black liner down my eye area. You can see it on the photo above. I cleaned some of it up, but its pretty much a candid photo :P It might look better if I put some on the waterline, but I'm not a waterline girl and so no make up touches that area of my eye. I get a bit screamish when it comes to things like that. So after playing with it for about 40 minutes on my eyes and hands I decided to take it off. .. ( I did attempt a star on one eye as a KIIS band member for the night, Key word* ATTEMPT..haha)....Well it was not ready to come off. After 3 different eye make up removers it was all smeared like someone had punched me in the face. Tired and just ready to toss the tube out I went to bed with black circles around my eyes. I was hoping it would come off when I work up. Day breaks and the first thing I do is look in the mirror and who is staring back at me? A raccoon!!! After lots of water and more make up remover it was finally cleaned up down to an thin eye liner. A few days later I decide to try it again. I was going out dancing and figured that this is a great time to give it a second chance. I'm a believer in forgiveness.. after all How often does MAC let me down? So its 2 AM when I get home. Guess what! The liner was still all in tack I was lovin' the black patent leather look. Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at <span class=Then it was time to remove the war paint... Result? I had to wear a thin black liner the next day if you catch my drift. In the end the constant battle to remove the liner, and the worry of over using of makeup remover has provided me with the conclusion that no more Point Black liner for me. If you must have liquid liner I suggest a cheaper version that won't break the bank. As for the other colors that the liquid liner come in.. I won't say no just yet... "Oh Darn".. guess I just have to go back to MAC tee hee.. and try those out .. can't judge them all based on the black liner :)
-pros-
  • Shiny black leather finish (fun not many brands have this)
  • Nice applicator to the touch
  • easy to create cat eye effect
-cons-
  • Hard to remove
  • Pricey for a small liner
  • drips
  • long to dry
  • you can feel the liner on your eye
  • sticks to your lashes
  • thin line
  • the list goes on...

Black Red and White Slideshow

Black Red and White

Black, Red and White

Who says you can't wear red eye shadow didn't know the
tricks of the trade. With a little hint of red peaking above the black makes it
a great accent to any face. After getting an email about NYX, I decided to pick
up one of these to try it out. And after a long night out the Red still intact,
the decision was made to give it two thumbs up. I chose a red shadow
called "Sunrise." Being a MAC lover I knew that RED was only available
in pigment but not strictly for shadow. So it made a great choice. Sunrise is a
bit chalky and matte, but if used after a shimmery base its a very wearable
color. Check out my video and let me know what you think!

Base: Stillife|
Shadow: Black Tied, NYX Sunrise
Pigment: Frost, Naked
Fluid: Blitz & Glitz

Texas has gone Nationwide

Texas has gone nationwide and Dooney & Bourke has managed to encapsulate into a handbag... That's right D&B has created a Texas inspired handbag with boots n' spurs.. the whole nine yards!! To be honest it's not my cup of tea. Out of all the new handbags this season the only line that "Pop" was the Popsicle line. And I have yet seen them in stores. Better hit South Coast Plaza and see if they have the adorable popsicle line there. I've been so wrapped up in my makeup love I just let the handbag obsession fade away...
Louis.. Fendi.. Coach and D&B bring back that lovin' feeling!!!!

R u ready for the New Line of Louis Vuitton's Mulicolor Handbags?

Just in time for bathing suits and spray on tans, Louis Vuitton is releasing three gorgeous Multicolor Louis's to their permanent collection. Prices ranges from $1170-$1950. I was lucky enough to check out the look book a few weeks back and I've fallen for the Neo Audra. Start saving those pennies(or wads of cash LOL..)now for the HOT HOT HOT bags. If you are feeling really saucy The Shoulder with exotic animal leather will cost about $4,500, if you aren't Paris Hilton or Lilo might want to skip out on this one. But no worries if bright colors aren't you cup of tea, LV has made a new "sporty" style speedy. Of course called none other than Sporty. No relation to Sporty Spice.

Miroir-licous handbags

Metallic bags are all the rage winter 06-07. I, myself had the opportunity to own the lovely Louis Vuitton Papillon in silver, but was cursed with bad luck and received one that was horribly scratched. I waited on the list from February '06 and finally received it Dec 1st. Ya.. that many months!!! .. saved my pennies for that bad boy only to receive the scarred show piece. But have no fear many other designers have followed the metallic trend and have come out with some pretty interesting pieces. I think I like the Fendi the best. Stay tuned .. in honor of the metallic handbags.. I will be doing a demo on metallic make up to "make up" for the lack of LV in my silver and cold hands (tribute to AFI's song.. Silver and Cold).. lol

The Ice Pop Has Melted My Heart

Just recently added to the Dooney & Bourke family are the "Ice Pops." Great handbags that range from $45-$195.00. Same styles as the "It bags" that have been floating around for a few years, and yet these "Ice Pops" are so different. I like these way better, they have that fun in the sun Spring and Summer look. I would definitely pick up the white one. I hope its bright, because the bumble bee line was a total disappointment. The only one I liked from that line was the duffle, because it was fabric and had more of an intense color. Crossing my fingers that these will hit the stores soon...

Barbie Loves Mac

Shopping for Barbie Loves Mac Line was no day in the park, it was more like a zoo. Lucky for me I was able to pick up some colors that I didn't already have. Feeling bad for my little cousin who wasn't able to pick up any I decided to give them to her. Which gave me an idea. Why not just recreate the look without the actual products?
So without further ado my demonstration on Barbie Loves Mac Style without using any of the actual products from this line.

Barbie Loves Mac
Lucky Green,Bitter,Humid,Pink Venus or Pink freeze shadow
(shimmery base will change any matte shadow)

Cat Eye Demo

By request I have demonstrated how I would re-create this "cat eyed" look. On the left is me with my silver and black colors, and on the right is the request photo. I think I did a pretty good job for my first time :)

I was kinda fatigue in this video if you notice I was kinda slow. It was a long day at work but there is always time for makeup!!!!

CONCERT TONIGHT!!!

Gotta look hot and blend in with the rest of the concert lovers..haha... I tried to go for a shimmery silver and black shadow look.."smokey look." Its funny cause in the middle of gettin' dolled up it looks as though I was punched in the face.. :( Better not really get elbowed tonight at the concert. Or this look will be used for a few weeks ;) lol

This is my first official blog... and hopefully many more.

My whole vision for pursebuzz.com is to have video reviews of purses and my tutorials on eyeshadow. I really don't wear a lot of make up so I'll stick to what I know shadows!!!!!
